“Music to me is a way of expressing myself verbally and through a pen and a pad, when I write, I write as if I was telling a story. To help with that method I write in a form of a diary. This helps me a lot because the lyrical content is more effective and then I find a flow for it” explains Simz when asked about her writing process. “I want to say thank you to all the people who have been supporting me, I want to be a positive icon for the younger generation.”
Sighting musical influences such as Michael Jackson, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Lauren Hill and Bob Marley, Simz clearly has her eyes firmly fixed on success.
“These artists are so inspiring and every time I listen to them it makes me want to work even harder,” says Simz, who has recorded her debut smash hit single FALL TO THE FLOOR produced by Skott Summerz to be release this summer 2010. “They help me to perfect and master my craft even further. Some of them are legends so that gives me even more of a reason to look to them and admire they’re great work as I myself am working towards being a great artist.”Medina & Femi
